Large gongs on stands and hand held gongs will be used in these workshops. Demonstrations of techniques and break out groups will provide direct experience for the methods presented. The Equinox Sound Healing Immersion is a two session deep dive into the concepts and experience of healing with sound. The first session is a seminar-style exploration of historical and cultural roots of using sound for healing, foundational concepts, and the tools and techniques of healing with sound. We will explore concepts such as brain waves, entrainment, the Autonomic nervous system, and physiological influences of sound on the body. Instruments used for sound healing that will be demonstrated include tuning forks, crystal singing bowls, Himalayan singing bowls, drums, and gongs among others.
The seminar is great opportunity to learn more about sound and healing to support your own healing journey, explore the addition of sound healing tools into your professional practice and discover a pathway to become a professional sound healing facilitator.
Following the seminar is a sound bath meditation to align with the energies of the Autumn Equinox and to experience deeply the nourishment and healing that sound healing offers. The sound bath flows smoothly through the sounds of crystal bowls, gongs, Himalayan bowls, handpan, and other instruments creating space for opening to new possibilities, releasing stress and experiencing deeply relaxing and healing states of mind and body. Held in an intimate container, woven layers of gongs, flutes, bowls, drums and more in an intuitive flow crafted to nourish and amplify the vibrational field of the group.

Every year on June 21st, International Yoga Day is commemorated around the world with festivals and special events. It is an international observance of the physical and spiritual power of yoga, recognizing the significance of exercise and good living.
Haywood County will now join the movement with a local annual family-friendly all day celebration featuring fitness classes, demonstrations, workshops, wellness and wisdom talks, an Opening Ceremony, Vendor Village with local artists and artisans and wellness related products, live music and entertainment, Imagination Station kids’ village, delicious food and beverage options, all culminating with a dynamic Closing Ceremony.

This Group Sound Meditation is an opportunity to journey to self awareness. Through traveling the waves of sound into the Theta brain wave realm of dreams and healing we can gain insight in to our current condition as well as chart a path for our own unfolding. Traveling through the textures and vibrations of rhythm, harmony shaped through diverse cultural sound traditions and instrumentation we can find center and support wellbeing.
Using Gongs, Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Handpan and more I will guide us into this realm of insight and vision. The journey will be approximately 75 minutes long allowing some silence for integration.
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, bolster or anything you may need to help you feel comfortable during the journey. There will be some yoga mats and blankets for use at the event. If so called you may bring some small items such as crystals or ceremonial items that you wish to charge with the energy of the meditation.

February 27th event will have the theme of emergence of the light of the new moon cycle. As we move into the light of the New Moon we can anchor in our intentions and goals for the next lunar cycle.
